Making A DifferenceUA Distribution Center
In July of 2025, Urban Alliance assumed full ownership of the Distribution Center at 62 Village Street in East Hartford, Connecticut. This warehouse and retail space allows Urban Alliance to distribute millions of dollars in donated goods to UA Network Partners, Title I schools, and other organizations every year. Our dedicated staff and faithful volunteers receive supplies, sort and organize it, and move it to the Distribution Center shopping floor so that supplies can get into the hands of the people that need them most.
The Teacher Resource Center (TRC)Making a difference to teachers and students
In 2025, the median budget for classroom supplies was $200, and the average school teacher spent $895 of their own money on school supplies. Title I schools face even greater challenges, providing meals and sometimes clothing and other personal supplies to students.
The Teacher Resource Center invites educators from Title I schools to come a shop for school supplies twice per school year. Each trip provides $1000 or more in supplies to each classroom annually, letting teachers focus on their students rather than worrying about where to find the supplies they need for the next class project.
The Essential Supplies Program (ESP)Equipping non-profits, churches, and ministries
Most churches and non-profits face a common challenge – how can you stretch your budget to do the most good? Do you buy office supplies or personal hygiene items for your clients? What do you do when there isn’t enough in the budget for both?
The Essential Supplies Program provides valuable items to our partners every month – from diapers to clothing, furniture to small appliances and more. Every month, the Essential Supplies Program provides the supplies that make a difference to over 300,00 people every year.
