“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20)

Unity and relationship in the body of Christ have been long-standing values of Urban Alliance. These values are expressed through the ongoing convening of leaders, which has occurred consistently over the last decade. Learning communities, prayer gatherings, and the Micah group have offered opportunities for leaders to come together and build strong relationships with UA staff and each other.

More recently, UA has had the opportunity to engage with two local collaborative prayer movements, CT Prays and ARISE. Both groups coordinate efforts for churches to come together to worship and pray for our region and both are already in relationship with a number of UA network partner churches.

ARISE is comprised of leaders from across the state who have gathered for prayer consistently for the last 35 years. They will be holding their first bi-annual prayer and worship services in central CT and UA staff will also be participating.

We hope that you will be able to join us at these two services! UA staff will be present, and it will be an opportunity for the body of Christ to unite in prayer for our region. We also encourage you to learn more about each movement and find ways to get involved.

As Matthew 18:20 says, “where two or more are gathered in His name, He is with them.” So, we come together expecting an outpouring of His Spirit! And, we pray that as His Spirit is poured out, our hearts are transformed and communities are healed!
