Through Urban Alliance’s Charis initiative, churches and parachurch organizations have the opportunity to apply for grants that help fund mental, emotional and relational health workshops.

Workshops offered in one to three sessions on topics such as understanding depression, grief and loss, or healthy relationships can help people build the knowledge and skills needed to cope with life’s challenges and heal from painful experiences.

Churches and parachurch organizations that are active participants in a UA initiative may apply for a UA grant to strengthen their core programming by offering a new workshop or expanding an existing one.

For more information about this opportunity or participating in Charis, contact Angela Colantonio, UA’s Director of Implementation, Health & Basic Needs Initiatives.
