At the Connecting People to Community Resources training at  UA on November 7, 27 people from 17 churches and organizations learned how to better understand the needs of their communities, develop a strategy for connecting people to resources and effectively engage the people they serve.

Kate Quigley from  211 United Way presented valuable information about navigating the 211 database and online resources.

And at last month’s Charis learning community at Urban Alliance, 39 leaders from 28 churches and organizations in the UA network gathered to learn about the diversity of life situations among singles and how to support singles—including information about support groups.

The group also engaged in a Q&A with a panel of people representing various seasons of singleness.
