Join CT Churches for a Summer of Hope

"Disability" means a disability attributable to cognitive or physical impairment or a combination of cognitive and physical impairments that result in substantial functional limitations in one or more of the following areas of major life activities:

  • Self-care
  • Receptive and expressive language
  • Learning
  • Mobility
  • Self-direction
  • Capacity for independent living
  • Economic self-sufficiency
  • Cognitive functioning
  • Emotional adjustment

"Severe disability" means a severe chronic disability attributable to cognitive or physical impairment or a combination of cognitive and physical impairments, which is likely to continue indefinitely, and which results in substantial functional limitation in three or more of the major life activities specified under the definition of “disability.”
