How can we assist you?
led by Liz Babbitt, M.Ed., Ministry Relations Manager with Joni and Friends New England
Individuals and families with disability are the largest unreached people group in New England. Everyone needs to learn about Jesus and have a caring connection to a local church. Whether you are a pastor, a ministry leader, or a key volunteer, you have the potential to offer loving care to families with disability in your church. Creating and sustaining a welcoming culture for people of all abilities is very do-able – with prayerful intentionality! This session will guide you in understanding and taking practical steps toward developing a faith community where every person with a disability finds hope, dignity, and their place in the body of Christ.
Liz Babbitt holds a master’s degree in education and has served as Ministry Relations Manager with Joni and Friends New England since 2009. She attends New Life Community Church in Georgetown, MA where individuals and families with disabilities are enthusiastically embraced as indispensable members of the body of Christ. She has five adorable grandchildren; the youngest is diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Contact: lbabbitt@joniandfriends.org
