Better Together: Distributing Food in Hartford

Aug 19, 2022 | Impact Stories, UA News

On August 11, 2022, Urban Alliance partnered with New Dimension Christian Center and Midwest Food Bank to distribute groceries on Washington Street in Hartford. About 250 people were able to choose from a wide variety of grocery and personal items at 10 tables.

This was the first of what we hope to be many “pop-up” distributions, where Urban Alliance helps coordinate and participate in the delivery and distribution of food provided by Midwest Food Bank and distributed by an organization already doing work in the community. New Dimension Christian Center did a great job promoting the event and bringing volunteers. We are so excited for a great start to this new opportunity!
