As part of Urban Alliance’s Next Generation initiative, and in partnership with Community Renewal Team (CRT), churches and ministry organizations in Hartford and East Hartford will be able to provide and opportunity for a teen or young adult to build leadership and employment skills as Summer Meals Program Assistants.
As a CRT Summer Meals Program site, churches and ministry organizations have a unique opportunity to address hunger by offering meals, provided by CRT at no cost, to children and youth throughout the summer.
Through Next Generation, Urban Alliance is offering grant funding for churches and ministry organizations in the Urban Alliance network who would like to bring a Summer Meals Program Assistant on board.
Summer Meals Program Assistants will work at least two hours each week for a total of ten weeks from late-June through mid-August. They will work under the supervision of Summer Meals Coordinators.
Ideal candidates for this position are teens or young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are responsible, reliable and enjoy working with children.
