Revving Up for Revitalize!

May 3, 2018 | UA News

Outreach teams from 20 churches and parachurch organizations in the UA network are gearing up for the Revitalize Community Health Outreach, an annual concentrated effort to connect Hartford residents with free and low-cost health resources.

On June 9, the teams will help distribute thousands of resource bags containing information about free and low-cost health services, free summer meals, and Mobile Foodshare sites, as well as a $5 farmers market coupon. This year, bag recipients will be able to redeem their coupons at five of Hartford’s farmers markets, two more than last year.

As part of the effort, FaithCare plans to partner with some participating churches to offer health screenings on the day of the outreach, so Hartford residents have the opportunity to take steps toward better understanding their risk factors and how to improve their health.
