Charis: Connecting People to Care and Counseling

Sep 13, 2018 | UA News

Did you know? Through Urban Alliance’s Charis initiative, churches and parachurch organizations are provided with printed materials around specific topics such as addictioncrisis and traumadementiadepression, and fear and anxiety, to distribute to people who are seeking care and counseling in these areas.

Churches and parachurch organizations also utilize the Charis website (www.charisnetworkct.org), which is maintained and updated regularly by Urban Alliance, to connect people to professional counselors, support groups, and other avenues of care, all from a Christian perspective.

If your church or parachurch organization would like to engage in a learning community about helping people address their emotional struggles and receive printed materials to distribute, contact Angela Colantonio, Urban Alliance’s Director of Implementation, Health & Basic Needs Initiatives.
