Tasks may include:
- Preparing a simple yet healthy cold lunches with a vegetarian option
- Shopping for all needed ingredients
- Submitting request for payment reimbursement including receipts
- Introducing lunches to families
- Serving and interacting with families
- Cleaning up kitchen and serving area
- Repackaging storage bins
In order to volunteer you should be:
- A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have the chance to if you haven’t already)
- Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
- Willing to submit a background check
- Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
- Able to provide own transportation to workshop
- Organized, responsible, and dependable
- Able to prepare a cold meal
- Able to work well with a small team
- Able to interact well with children and families
