The Hartford Project
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Hartford Project (THP) is an urban ministry immersion experience for teenagers in New England. Church youth groups are invited to come and live in Hartford, CT for four days in the summer, at which time they serve the community, learn about poverty, experience racial reconciliation and build relationships.
The Hartford Project is comprised of three main components: Service, Discipleship, and "Life in the City".
Vision
The Hartford Project's vision is to experience and share God's love in Hartford.
In Isaiah 61:1-4 we find Gods vision for the world: Healing, Freedom, Comfort, Beauty, Joy, Praise, and Righteousness for all people.
Jesus Christ adopts this vision as his mission statement in Luke 4:14-30.
Jesus also said that he came to seek and save the lost in Luke 19:10.
