PROGRAMS & MINISTRIES

Family Night
Wednesday nights, September to May, from 6:00-8:30pm. Dinner served at 6:00pm followed by programs for all ages. Free!

Manna 
As part of Hands on Hartford, South Church houses a food pantry. MANNA Provides direct relief to thousands of Hartford neighbors each month. Through Community Meals, Community Pantry, Senior Community Caf, and the Backpack Nutrition Program for children, we provide meals and groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity. For more information visit handsonhartford.org

Connecticut Bible Society
South Church is a point place for distribution of Bibles in Connecticut. The chief purpose of the CT Bible Society remains encouraging people t oread, study, and distribute the Holy Scriptures.  They have distributed thousands of free Bibles, reading guides and tracts to citizens throughout the state including many correctional, health-care, educational and religious institutions.  Vist ctbiblesociety.org for more information.   

God Chasers - House of Good Hope 
Prayer group of Hartford on the second Saturday of the month, from 10:00am-1:00pm.

Knitting/Crochet Group 
On the second and fourth Monday of the month, 6:30-8:30pm. Open for all in church and neighbors.

Sewing Smiles 
On the first Saturday of the month, from 9:00am-3:00pm, a group gets together to make clothing for communities in need. Basic sewing skills also taught. 

South Church Women 
Wednesdays from 10:00am-3:00pm. Knitting and card making for neighbors in need.

Vacation Bible School 
An evening week-long event (from 5:30-8:30pm) with children from the local community.

The Hartford Project
The mission of The Hartford Project is, "to flood Hartford with Gods love by uniting and mobilizing the greater 'Church' of Hartford through prayer, worship, discipleship, and service. Sharing the love of God through word and deed." This is done through suburban and urban youth groups coming together for a week every summer and is hosted by South Church.
