We've Moved! New Address, New Opportunities
Article and pictures by Urban Alliance staff.
Just a stone's throw from the Connecticut River sits our new office space at 62 Village Street, East Hartford.
Formerly the home of Wesco, an electrical supplies company, our new space now provides expanded opportunities for on-site meetings, workshops and collaborative work, while still remaining in close proximity to Hartford and with access for tractor trailers to deliver donated goods.
While a significant portion of the building is dedicated to brand new meeting, training and office spaces, another large portion is now home to World Vision's warehouse, essential supplies storehouse and Teacher Resource Center (TRC). The storehouse and TRC will provide opportunities for those engaged in Urban Alliance initiatives to "shop" for things like free school supplies, office supplies, food kits and clothing, among many other donated goods that World Vision will be mobilizing through their programs.
Last week, tractor trailer truckloads of donated goods began arriving and World Vision staff from Minnesota, New York and Washington were on site to set up the storehouse and TRC. We are all eager for its opening in the coming weeks!
With the move also comes new contact information, so please click here to view our staff listing, with new extensions for our main line (860-986-7724) and also new direct lines. Please note that we now each have direct fax lines, so our previous fax number no longer will work.
We welcome you to come visit and tour our new facility and look forward to the many ways that this new space will help leverage our collective strengths and support the incredible work that is being done to help people in our local community.
