Revitalize – Preparing for the Next “Community Health Outreach”
On Monday, March 12, 2012, a group of pastors and ministry leaders from thirteen different churches/ministry organizations came together to plan the next Revitalize “Community Health Outreach.” In the fall, over 2,000 handouts containing information about free health services in Hartford were given to Hartford households. The date for the next “Community Health Outreach” is Saturday, June 9, 2012. Members from participating churches and organizations will distribute new handouts with information about free health services available to Hartford residents. These volunteers will distribute the information by going door-to-door, which enables them to not only inform residents, but also to care for residents emotionally and spiritually. At this upcoming outreach, more churches will be participating and hopefully that will mean that more Hartford residents have information needed to take advantage of health services available to them.
