Network 4 Health: A Free Program to Help Launch or Expand Your Health Ministry

Article by Urban Alliance staff.

People in the Hartford community face serious health disparities and challenges like heart disease, diabetes and other preventable chronic conditions.

But, local churches and faith-based organizations can take part in addressing these issues by promoting health and wellness and serving those who need it most.

Are you interested in taking action to improve the health of your neighbors in Hartford? Would you like to develop a health ministry at your church, but are not sure where to start? Do you already participate in a health ministry that could benefit from education and training?

The Network 4 Health Project is a free program that helps Hartford area churches and faith-based organizations develop health ministries for their local community by:

  • Completing a health ministry readiness assessment
  • Participating in four workshops on program development, project management, public health and grant writing
  • Creating a personalized health ministry action plan
