Mission

House of Praise and Worship/Casa de Adoración y Alabanza's mission is to "proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, guiding our neighbors who do not know, to accept him as redeemer and savior; encouraged to adopt a new style of life under the protection of God, with Christ as the supreme inspiration and the Bible as a rule of conduct that underlies the Christian faith."

PROGRAMS & MINISTRIES

Mercy Ministries
The goal of the mercy ministries is to help to meet the social and physical needs of the community with the hopes that spiritual help can be given as well. This is done through food distribution, advice and support in State assistance, providing one-time basic monetary support to families who are financially and logistically struggling, and through the collection of necessary and needed items (i.e. clothing, medicine, shoes, sanitary items).

Youth Ministries
Youth ministries at House of Praise and Worship are responsible for faith education programs, direction of worship services and retreats. They do this through mentoring and through monetary “adoption” of young men and women who live below the poverty level, which provides them with things like school clothes and supplies, and college advising.

Singles and Widows/Widowers Ministries
The goal of the singles and widows/widowers ministries is to create a support group for men and women through providing special events and support groups.

The Hartford Project
The mission of The Hartford Project is, "to flood Hartford with God's love by uniting and mobilizing the greater 'Church' of Hartford through prayer, worship, discipleship and service. Sharing the love of God through word and deed." This is done through suburban and urban youth groups coming together for a week every summer.

Toys for Tots
House of Praise and Worship, along with the Marines and the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy, help to collect and distribute Christimas gifts to over 200 families in the Hartford community. They strive to provide one gift per child from ages 0-17, along with treats and hot chocolate. Gifts are given out at House of Praise and Worship a few days before Christmas each year.
