Beyond the Basics helps people achieve greater stability in their lives by collaboratively increasing the impact of local food, clothing and housing services.
Through Beyond the Basics, organizations in the UA network are provided with support to increase the impact of their basic needs services as they implement strategies to holistically help people in our community.
Strengthening Basic Needs Services
Organizations are strengthening their food, clothing and housing services to increase opportunities for people to achieve greater stability in their lives.
Classes to Increase Life Skills and Stability
Classes on topics such as budgeting, literacy, ESL, job searching or health are helping people to build knowledge and skills as they achieve greater stability in their lives.
Community Resource Coaches
Community Resource Coaches (CRCs) are helping people to connect to resources and are affirming the worth of people by encouraging positive change through long-term relational support. CRCs meet one-on-one with clients to offer case management services, are present at a resource table, or interact with people while basic needs services are in operation.
Resources tables that are provided while basic needs services are in operation are helping connect people to additional programs and services.
